Keeping up with global icon Kim Kardashian is no small feat, and the multi-hyphenate billionaire is set to elevate the game once again. Teaming up with Kari Lia and Hamish Fergusson, Kim is not just producing but also starring in BBC’s upcoming three-part documentary. The documentary will exclusively delve into the life of the 1950s celebrity sensation Elizabeth Taylor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A self-professed admirer of Taylor, Kim had the privilege of interviewing the legendary actress shortly before her passing at the age of 79 in March 2011. Now, over a decade later, Kardashian is channelling her inspiration into a captivating documentary.
Titled ‘Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar,’ this documentary promises a comprehensive exploration of Taylor’s journey—from her early days and skyrocketing fame to her acting prowess, eight marriages, and her evolution into a business tycoon, billionaire, and activist.
Joining Kim on this cinematic voyage are Elizabeth’s confidante Dame Joan Collins, school friend Margaret O’Brien, close pal Carole Bayer Sager, and renowned scientist Dr. Anthony Fauci.
In Kim’s words, “Elizabeth Taylor was unapologetically herself, a fighter. She is proof that you can keep evolving and changing and have different chapters in your life — and she paved the way for all of us who came after her with that blueprint.”
BBC’s Commissioning Editor Alistair Pegg added, “This exciting series promises a new understanding of Elizabeth Taylor — both her technique and power as an actor, and her capacity for reinventing herself.”
