Bollywood Power Couple Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor Part Ways Amicably: Report
Bollywood power couple Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora have broken up, according to a report from Pinkvilla. The couple, who made their relationship official in 2018, have not commented on the breakup, but sources have told Pinkvilla that they have parted ways amicably. A source stated, “The relationship ran its course.”
“Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each other’s hearts. They have chosen to part ways and will maintain a dignified silence in this matter. They won’t allow anyone to drag and dissect their relationship,” a source shared with Pinkvilla.
“They had a long, loving, fruitful relationship that has unfortunately run its course now. That doesn’t mean there is any bad blood between them. They respect each other hugely and have been a pillar of strength for each other. Over the years, they have given their relationship a lot of respect. They will continue to give each other the same respect despite them deciding to part ways. Both of them were in a serious relationship for years, and they expect people to be gracious enough to give them space at this emotional time,” the insider added.

Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan divorced in 2017, and rumours started brewing about Malaika spending time with Arjun Kapoor. The two made waves when they attended Lakme Fashion Week together in 2018. They also shared snippets of their relationship on social media, from romantic holidays to special occasions. They confirmed their feelings for each other during an appearance on season 6 of Koffee With Karan.
The couple faced their share of ups and downs, including recent breakup rumours linking Arjun with social media star Kusha Kapila, which she denied. They were also often trolled for their 12-year age gap. Addressing the trolling on Koffee With Karan, Arjun said, “What is important to understand is that you will be affected. There is no person that is not being affected, it is about dealing with it. It also shows their (trolls’) upbringing and their culture. Those people that are putting up random comments, you also know that they are trying to get your attention. So earlier, I used to get a bit worked up and wanted to respond all the time. Then I realised that I have to allow it to sink in, to understand what the reason is why these desperate people are trying to get my attention, and try to detach myself from their reaction. Does it affect me? Yes, it does… they (trolls) might be doing it to get likes.”
What’s next for Arjun and Malaika?
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor will be seen playing the villain in Rohit Shetty’s next, Singham Again, which stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and more. The film is set to release on August 15th this year. Malaika, on the other hand, had a cameo in Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan and will also appear in Housefull 5, along with her other commitments like endorsements, fashion shows and reality shows.
