Leading the way for the Indian restaurants on the list is Masque, helmed by the visionary chef Varun Totlani and Aditi Sugar, claiming an impressive spot at number 23. Nestled within the historic confines of a former Mumbai textile mill, Masque reimagines traditional Indian flavours with avant-garde flair. Their exquisite ten-course tasting menu, priced at Rs. 5200, showcases India’s seasonal bounty, featuring tantalising creations like ‘Kashmiri morels with patra’ and ‘sea buckthorn pani puri’, captivating both locals and globe-trotting gourmands alike.
Over a decade of culinary excellence has secured Indian Accent, New Delhi, a well-deserved place at number 26. Set within the opulent confines of The Lodhi Hotel, Chef Manish Mehrotra’s culinary playground seamlessly marries Indian flavours with global techniques, compelling taste buds with delights like ‘chicken tikka meatballs’ and ‘slow-cooked lamb shank nihari’.
