Samantha Ruth Prabhu is well known for her chic and sustainable fashion ethos and she effortlessly stole the spotlight at the Elle Sustainability Awards with a stunning revelation. How, You ask? her iconic wedding gown which was emblematic of her past romance with Naga Chaitanya was repurposed and reborn in a new era of sustainability and style.
Drifting elegantly in a black strapless corset gown with pleats and 3D embroidered flowers was her ingeniously repurposed wedding ensemble from 2017 that she originally wore for her Christian nuptials with ex-husband Naga Chaitanya in Goa.
The gown which was once a vision in pristine white, underwent a breathtaking transformation by the skilled hands of designer Kresha Bajaj who also designed her original wedding gown. The outfit that finally came about was like a mesmerising masterpiece in black and intricate detailing marking a new chapter for the dress and perhaps even for Samantha herself.
In her trademark blend of elegance and eco-consciousness, Samantha shared black and white snapshots of her revamped attire, accompanied by a poignant reflection on sustainability. “We cannot ignore sustainability anymore. We’re past that stage when it was a choice. It’s now a necessity for the longevity of our planet,” she affirmed, urging for collective action towards a greener future.
Accessorised with a beaded choker and statement rings, Samantha radiated confidence with her flawless hair and makeup serving as the perfect complement to her revamped gown.
