Mishra’s Couture Spring 2024 show unfolded as an enchanting ode to the insect kingdom, portraying them as unsung ‘Superheroes’ in his latest collection. He wrote, “Beyond my own comfort zone, I look back once more at those who’ve been here before me. I seek to not just just appreciate the beauty or the vividness of the insect kingdom but also challenge our whole conditioning/education towards how we treat insects & feel the emotions otherwise coming from a primal notion of fear”.
Beyond fashion, Mishra aimed to challenge the societal perceptions and treatments of insects and shed light on the critical role that they play in biodiversity and our ecosystem. His collection displayed exquisite craft representations of insects like dragonflies, butterflies, lizards etc combining art and advocacy masterfully.
Here are some behind-the-scenes videos of his creative journey of bringing out meticulous craftsmanship and conceptual brilliance that brought the insect-inspired collection to life.
The fashionistas not only witnessed Panday’s debut but also the presence of actress Charithra Chandran from the popular show Bridgerton. Charithra graced the event in a gorgeous fitted metallic dress with voluminous sleeves which added to the allure of the couture spectacle.
Mishra’s collection was at the centre of fashion and advocacy highlighting the importance of our delicate ecosystem. The enthralling collection proved that fashion has the power to transcend boundaries and communicate profound messages.
